Hello, I'm Michelle.
Choosing a counsellor is a personal decision. It's important that you feel comfortable with the person you're going to talk to, so I want you to know a little about me and how I work.
I am a counsellor trained in person-centred therapy. At the heart of my practice is the belief that every person is an individual, with their own experiences, feelings, and way of understanding the world.
I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all answer to what you are going through.
My role isn't to tell you what you should do or how you should feel. Instead, I offer you the time and space to explore things for yourself, while being alongside you throughout that process.
I have worked within the care sector for over 20 years, supporting people with a wide range of needs and circumstances. My experience has taught me the importance of listening, patience, compassion and treating people with dignity and respect.
Alongside my professional experience, my counselling training has deepened my understanding of people, relationships, and the experiences that can shape us. I have a particular interest in supporting people through bereavement, loss and significant life changes, as well as those who may feel overwhelmed, stuck or unsure about what comes next.
I'm not someone who believes you have to have all the answers. I believe that sometimes we just need someone to sit with us while we work things out. That is what With You Therapy means to me- being alongside you, rather than telling you where you need to go.
